LDBS was founded in 1996 my Marty Jacobsen to take the confusion out to telecommunications services. Marty is an expert on telecommunications bills. He is the third generation of his family to be in telecommunications. Starting with his grandfather martin Jacobsen who owned the local telephone company in Hovland Minnesota for the 1940 to 1960 when the facility was destroyed in a fire. His mother Bev jacobsen was the area manager for AT&T’s Northwestern Bell subsidiary until 1994 when Judge Green broke up AT&T. She then became district manager for Qwest which was the baby bell operating company formed when Judge Green split AT&T into 8 separate companies. The 7 separate operating companies got the local (landline) assets and offered local service only. AT&T the 8 company was the only nationwide company left and they solely offered long distance and international calling.

Marty had a number of businesses in Minnesota, US Parts Express selling wholesale automotive part nationwide to M&M Motors in Minneapolis prior to moving to Florida in 1991.
LDBS was founded to assist business owner in understanding and lowering their monthly telecommunications expenses starting with long distance 1+ and international 011 + services in the mid 1990’s. In 1997 LDBS starting began selling internet access, e-mail and websites for a number of different service providers in the south Florida market.
2002 was a milestone year as local telephone service was deregulated and the baby bells were allowed to provide long distance and international calling and AT&T started selling local service.
LDBS has been providing business from a wide variety of the telecommunications services and support for over 15 years.
